About Me

Hi, I'm Dr. Alan Vahlevi, a medical doctor and postgraduate candidate in Public Health and Health Leadership & Management at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney. My work spans clinical care, sexual & reproductive health, HIV/STI prevention, TB control, family planning, public health programming, and medical education.Over the years, I have worked across Indonesia’s public and private sectors, partnering with ministries, NGOs, international organizations, and community networks to strengthen health systems and deliver evidence-based interventions. My experience includes leading reproductive health training programs, implementing HIV service delivery improvements, supporting TB control strategies, and developing clinical tools and guidelines.

My Public Health Approach

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, health equity, and systems thinking. I believe effective public health solutions require a deep understanding of community needs, strong collaboration across sectors, and a commitment to continuous learning. I’ve worked on programs focused on PrEP implementation, HIV partner notification, viral load scale-up, TB public-private mix initiatives, and family planning provider training.

What Drives Me

I am passionate about improving access to quality health services, particularly for key populations and underserved communities. I find purpose in translating complex clinical and public health concepts into practical, actionable solutions that empower providers, strengthen systems, and improve health outcomes.I also create accessible digital health education across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and X, focusing on HIV, STIs, mental health, contraception, and healthy living. My goal is to make accurate, stigma-free health information widely accessible.

Beyond the Clinic & Programs

Outside of professional work, I’m committed to lifelong learning, community engagement, and leveraging digital platforms to advocate for sexual and reproductive health.
