Indonesia’s first PrEP pilot launched in Jakarta and Greater Jakarta with a simple goal: protect key populations from HIV through a proven prevention tool.
As the focal-point coordinator, I helped lead:
- provider training and clinical mentoring
- development of national job aids and technical modules
- data tools for adherence, follow-up, and AE reporting
- partnerships with MoH, WHO, UNAIDS, and UNPAD
PrEP’s future in Indonesia depends on integration, provider readiness, and consistent monitoring. Here I share the practical implementation insights from the pilot.
